While the rest of the University of Minnesota is resting during the upcoming winter break, the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will not have a break from practice — though they will have a winter getaway.
The Ohio State Invitational this past weekend saw strong performances from both the Minnesota men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams, but it was clear Saturday that the women had stolen the show.
Both teams had a steady opening to the three-day event. The men ended the first day of competition in second place, just behind Ohio State, and the women left in control of a first place score.
